January 2012

Happy New Year!!!
Central School has gotten off to a great start in 2012.  We would like to highlight some of the great events that are coming up at Central School.

January 20th was Family game night.  This was a fun filled evening which included bingo, prizes and refreshments.  Congratulations to all the big winners.

The auction committee is hard at work planning an awesome South Beach themed party which will be held on April 14th.  Donations have been coming in and we have some truly amazing auction items this year.  Look for your invitation in backpacks around March 1st

Believe it or not, February 1st marks the end of the 2nd marking period.  As we enter the 2nd half of the school year, we have many events to look forward to. Some future dates for your calendar:

*Central School Show-Saturday, April 28th
*Central School dance recital – Friday, May 4th
*Central School Pool Party – Tuesday, June 5th (raindate  June 14th)
*Family Fun Night and movie – Friday, June 8th

Our next H.S.A. meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 9th at 8:45 a.m .  Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the H.S.A meetings, not just class parents.  Please come and learn more about Central School’s H.S.A.   Furthermore, it’s not too early to start thinking about becoming more involved with the H.S.A. for the 2012-13 school year. If you would like to learn more about opening positions on the board or on committees please contact us.
Lastly, we would like to thank all the wonderful parents who volunteer their time to help make Central School the wonderful place that it is and our outstanding principal and teachers who work so hard every day to make sure our children are receiving the best possible education.
Sincerely,
Alissa Somers (alissasomers@gmail.com) and
